Gan Israel is a camp geared for Jewish children who may or may not have previous Jewish education. We welcome all affiliations, as we believe that every Jewish soul is an irreplaceable asset to our People.

Camp is so much more than a break from the school routine and winter activities. It’s a comprehensive program designed to strengthen the body and soul. It provides your child with a rich and wholesome summer vacation of fun and excitement along with friendship and meaningful educational experiences.

Camp is a place where kids can feel relaxed, without the rigid structure of school. It is here where they are most receptive to the lessons taught in fun ways and a happy atmosphere.

Gan Israel campers are imbued with a deep sense of pride in their Jewish heritage and a love for the land of Israel. Weekly Judaic themes are taught through exciting activities, stories, songs, games and contests, which are part of the unique Gan Israel experience. Combined with group discussions and educational programs, these events bring to life the beauty and values of our tradition.

OUR PROGRAM

Our program is packed with crafts, nature skills, hikes, swimming, sports, performances, songs, games, competitions, carnivals, dress up days, color war, bunk competition, food art, Shabbat parties, challah baking, and so much more.

Under the direction of specialty coaches and our warm staff, campers have the opportunity to develop different skills that only a summer experience can offer in a fun and engaging way. Gan Israel's day trips are scheduled once or twice a week.

DIVISIONS

Camp Gan Israel Mini : 3.5 – 4 years 
Projects, music & movement, discovery play, and lots of TLC!

Camp Gan Israel (CGI) :  5 – 9 years
Trips, games, arts & crafts, prizes, and the best counselors out there!

Camp Gan Israel Plus (CGI+) :  10 – 12 years 
Bigger trips, crazy competitions, cool crafts, and serious summer wackiness!

Grades 10+ Staff positions available!

FACILITIES & SAFETY

Our brand new facilities are perfect to host a full program of activities, with indoor and outdoor spaces. We are ready to welcome the summer equipped with an expansive outdoor field, indoor bunk rooms and a lunch room.

Camp Gan Israel at ARIEL is licensed with Baltimore County and the Maryland Health Department. The purpose of youth camp certification is to protect the health and safety of children attending camps. Maryland regulations establish minimum standards ensuring that camp operators conduct criminal history record checks for employees, provide health supervision, implement health and safety procedures, and maintain safe facilities and activities.
